Endodontist Michael Elasaad, DDS
Dr. Michael Elasaad completed his advanced specialty training in endodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2002. Prior to his endodontics training he graduated from both the Advanced Education in General Dentistry and the General Practice Residency programs, also at the University of Michigan. While completing his General Practice Residency, he received the Biotene Award for Excellence in Hospital Dentistry and gained extensive experience treating medically compromised patients in a comfortable hospital dental setting.
Dr. Elasaad received his dental degree in 1995 from KSU where he graduated as valedictorian of his dental class. He worked as a general dentist for several years before pursuing his specialized endodontic training.
Dr. Elasaad has a strong commitment to continuing education and travels several times a year to attend courses to stay abreast of current trends and the latest cutting edge technology in the field of endodontics.
He is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists and maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Elasaad currently lives in Naperville. During his free time he enjoys biking, travelling, reading, music, and visiting friends and family. He is also an avid car enthusiast and amateur race car driver.
Endodontis K. Choi, DDS, MS, PhD
Dr. Choi graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry in 1996. He completed 1-year General Practice Residency at Evanston Hospital in 1997. He continued his post-graduate studies and served his full-time 3-year residency at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry where he was exposed of all aspects of implant dentistry in bone grafting, sinus grafting, implant surgery and implant prosthodontics. He practiced dentistry in a private practice in Pusan, South Korea for 13 years before moving back to Southern California in 2014. He has completed his second full-time residency in Endodontics at University of Southern California, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2016. Dr. Choi is the inventor of Taegeuk scalloped implant and EZI mini-implant. He was a part-time faculty at Department of Prosthodontics in Pusan National University, School of Dentistry in Pusan, South Korea.
He has published several dental implant articles in peer-review journals and he is one of the co-authors of a chapter in 7th Edition of Ingle’s Endodontic Textbook.
Dr. Choi and his wife are both born and raised in South Korea. They have two girls. Dr. Choi enjoys playing tennis and golf and watching movies whenever he finds time.
